He is linked with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim as a distant relative because he is the son-in-law of Haseena Parker- sister of Dawood Ibrahim. However, Zubair is evicted from the Big Boss in the very first week itself due to some altercation with the Big Boss host- Salman Khan. He also worked with the Balaji Telefilms and also produced and directed” Lakeer ka Fakeer” in 2013 starring ex- Big Boss contestant Ajaz Khan.
